A Design Studio in Industry City, New York

What began as 15,000 square feet of raw space in an industrial building became a working studio for a group of 75 designers and producers who could benefit from the collaborative nature of open space and retreat to enclosed spaces for conferences, meetings and quieter tasks.

The gridded pattern of the existing windows inspired similar interior versions, as well as  the design of the silkscreened walls and tabletops. Working within a strict budget, the goal was to be resourceful, responsible and respectful in the sourcing of furnishings, lighting and accessories.
