At the Artisan’s Table
Where my education in the decorative arts meets my fascination with handmade things.
Together with David Stark, I forced a dialog between the past and present in the place I am most comfortable: at the table.
We dusted off the subject of the decorative arts, and used it to provide a historical context for the work of contemporary artists.
Each chapter features a museum object that serves as a muse; the work and studio of the artist who has updated the traditional craft; and table settings that incorporate the artist’s handmade wares with pieces from the 18th century.
