An in-store collaboration with David Stark to celebrate the publication of our book, At the Artisan’s Table, in which we created three tableaus from scratch — a breakfast room, a pizza stand and a dessert table — in the iconic Bloomingdales department store in New York City.
The challenge? I used merchandise from the store’s house and home collections to complement our sets: I tapped into my work with David Hicks to design the plywood boiserie, and drew from the decorative arts to create the chandeliers and combine the textiles.
